Betsy and Wetsy: Book One.

This is the first official story of Betsy and Wetsy. I found it scrawled on the back of some loose-leaf paper in the glove compartment of the housekeeping cart; Amanda aka Betsy had written it during her shift the night before. Synchronistically, she had been sitting in the very place that I was now occupying, on the path outside of the staff lounge. I wasn't even through the first paragraph before I was crying with laughter; the fact that I was wearing a jester's hat on my head didn't help keep the reading experience discreet from the smokers who were sitting on a bench nearby. But I cared not a whit about their reactions, for I was immersed in one of the best stories of all time: The First Adventure of Betsy and Wetsy. 

One day Betsy and Wetsy went for a walk around the lake. The walk took an awfully long time. Wetsy got frustrated, and wet herself. After Betsy cleaned Wetsy up they went home. 

Betsy brooded over the return home, and at one point she brooded so severely that Wetsy again wet herself, this time on the carpet. 

After Betsy cleaned the carpet she decided to brood some more. 

Later that day Betsy and Wetsy's parents came home. They gave Wetsy a gift and told Betsy to start the laundry. 

Betsy started the laundry and then sat on a pile of dirty clothes to brood. Wetsy frolicked down the stairs into the laundry room and showed Betsy her new computer. Betsy brooded. Wetsy wet herself. Betsy thought about punching Wetsy, but decided that it would be too much plot conflict, so she continued to brood. 

Wetsy was slightly dehydrated from peeing out all of her liquids, so she headed back upstairs to the kitchen for a glass of water. Betsy glared. 

While in the kitchen, Betsy and Wetsy's parents presented Wetsy with a delicious cake. She was so excited she wet herself. Her parents thought that this was a great accomplishment, so they bought her a car. Wetsy was more excited than she had ever been in her whole life, and so she fainted. Her parents brought her upstairs to her pink and yellow bedroom with roses on the walls, and sat stroking her hair while discussing what to buy her next. 

They sent Betsy downstairs to check on the laundry, and locked the basement door. Once Betsy found out she was locked in the basement, she sat in the dark and brooded. 

Later, Wetsy woke up and had ice cream.
